1- What is your background and how did you get involved with hotwifi ?

I am a highly skilled Network Engineer with over 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, supporting, optimizing, securing, and documenting scalable networks. As a registered member of Cisco, VMware, Fortinet, and other leading industry organizations, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project I undertake.

 My work experience has mostly included managerial responsibilities at the head of corporate IT units, positions such as information security manager, IT and communications manager, etc. Based on this, I can say with certainty that my most challenging career since the last seven years in one of the largest investment holdings in my country, has started as the head of the IT department.

In the case of HotWifi, I must first point out the fact that I have always been interested in entrepreneurship. I always thought about being able to work in a new position like an entrepreneur by combining knowledge, work experience and previous experience. Hotwifi was exactly what I had been thinking about for years. It is a combination of software and network’s hardware on the Internet, so that the role of network issues such as security and hardware issues in it is vastly prominent. Therefore, based on my work experience, which is mainly in the field of networking and security, I concluded that I could be an influential member in it.

2- What are your responsibilities as a CTO at HotWifi?

In HotWifi Solutions INC., Chief Technology Officer is the highest technology executive position within company and not only leads the technology or engineering department but also is focused on scientific and technological issues within organization. As matter of fact, I make decisions for the overarching technology infrastructure that aligns with the organization’s goal. I am responsible for following duties:

• Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company.
• Ensuring that the technological resources meet the company’s short and long-term needs.
• Outline the goals for research and development.
• Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.
• Making executive decisions on behalf of the company’s technological requirements.

3. Who are hotwifi’s customers and how do you use technology to create value for them?

If I want to have an accurate description of the users who are considered as customers in our project, I must say that any place where Wi-Fi is provided for free or as an ancillary service, can have the necessary potential as a customer. Places like airports, libraries, restaurants, coffee shops and so on. Our main goal is to create value for our customers by using a simple and accessible technology such as Wi-Fi. A value in which special attention has been paid to the security and ease of access to public place services. More specifically, we have transformed Wi-Fi from an easy tool to access the Internet into an effective business tool.

4. Which processes are you helping your customers automate with cloud-based platform?

Before answering this question, we must first understand the important business processes that previously worked mechanically, or rather non-automatically:

1) The process of collecting customer information

2) The process of advertising and introducing the business

3) User authentication process

4) Processes related to the customer club

As it turns out, the above processes could best be done manually, which in turn took a lot of time for business owners and was not transferable. Hotwifi uses cloud infrastructure. These infrastructures will help the said processes to be done automatically, which is a very good advantage for businesses.

5. What are the biggest challenges that you are facing at the business?

Personally, I think our most important challenge in this business is how to present and introduce the project to business owners. HotWifi Scope is focused on restaurants and coffee shops, and we will probably need more time and explanation to introduce this technology to business owners. Another challenge is to make the project attractive. In fact, we must strive to make the project fit the new needs of businesses.

6. What inspires you about working with technology?

Technology is the ultimate portable career. From app development to computer forensics, cyber security to web design, the range of job roles and industries that fall under the technology umbrella is huge. Simply put, a career in technology is a career without boundaries.
